Hong Kong, September 27, 2022: Fidelity International is pleased to announce the appointment of Marty Dropkin as Head of Equities, Asia Pacific.
In this new position, Marty will further strengthen Fidelity’s world-class equities capability and solutions and drive best-in-class investment performance in Asia Pacific. He will lead the Asia-based equities team and ensure global strategic connectivity across regions. In line with Fidelity’s commitment to sustainable investing, Marty will also ensure sustainability principles continue to be deeply integrated into the equity investment process, in close collaboration with Fidelity’s Global Investment Research team.
Having spent the past 12 years at Fidelity in a number of leadership roles, Marty was most recently Head of Asian Fixed Income, with management and oversight of USD25 billion of Asia Fixed Income client assets. He has successfully managed Equities and Fixed Income teams across portfolio management, fundamental and quantitative research, and trading functions in Asia, the UK and the US.
Marty will report to Andrew McCaffery, Global Chief Investment Officer at Fidelity International, who commented: “As we look to further cement Fidelity’s reputation as a leading provider of equity investment capabilities in Asia and globally, Marty’s depth of investment knowledge, breadth of experience and strong track-record will be invaluable. Marty will continue to be based in Hong Kong whilst spending additional time in Singapore, and across the region, with the Equity portfolio managers, analyst teams and for other Investment Management business linked activity.
Marty graduated from the University of Virginia and received his MBA/MA from The Wharton School and the Joseph H. Lauder Institute at the University of Pennsylvania.
