The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test or NEET is an entrance examination mainly for students who wish to study any type of undergraduate medical course such as MBBS, dental courses BDS, or postgraduate courses MD or MS in government or private medical colleges in India. The National Testing Agency is responsible for releasing the NEET question paper for 2022 on its official website. The question paper is available in PDF format and can be downloaded by the candidates whenever they want. The paper consists of a total of 180 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) from the subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. The duration of the exam was 3 hours, and the total marks is 720.

The NEET question paper of 2022 was divided into four sections:

  • Section A included assertion reason questions. To answer these types of questions, students must possess good conceptual clarity.
  • There are just 11 numerical problems and most of these problems are theory-based.
  • A misspelling in one of the questions prevents it from matching the correct answer.

Analysis of the Botany section of the NEET 2022 paper

The difficulty level was from moderate to difficult

  • Some of the questions were tricky and challenging for the candidates.
  • A few questions were exact lines from the NCERT textbooks which were quite easier to attempt.
  • Most of the questions were factual, but a few were concept-based which is easy for those who have a clear concept.
  • Two questions that were given from the Living World and Anatomy of Flowering Plants were not correct.

The Level of difficulty for the zoology section was Moderate

  • The Zoology section was quite lengthy.

  • Eight questions were only from the Biotechnology chapter of the NCERT Book.
