Cleaning Up New York After The New Year

Ontime Steam Cleaning is expecting to be extremely busy in the weeks following New Year’s. And in Brooklyn, New York, especially, it looks like with all the parties going on, the aftermath will mean plenty of carpet cleaning business.

If the thought of being crammed into Times Square on New Year’s Eve makes you uneasy, you might want to go the other way. When Manhattan hosts its biggest celebration of the year, locals flee to Brooklyn to avoid the throngs of tourists. From large concerts to intimate bar gatherings, this outer borough offers a variety of ways to ring in the new year.

Hotel rooms near Times Square that have views of the ball drop not only sell out quickly, but some of them cost a staggering $20,000 per night! It’s also not a penthouse. If you’re interested, this is just food for thought. That is good news for On Time because it means plenty of extra cash for the cleanup.

Now, on to the carpet cleaning.

The New Year has come and gone, and you have had your family and friends over to celebrate at your home. If they’re going to dirty it anyway, you might think it’s a good idea to clean your carpet or rug. In this article, we’ll change your mind and give you valid reasons why you should clean your carpet before the end of the year.

One way to look at it is that you don’t want to start the New Year with dirt on you. And, indeed! Your carpet is one of them; you want a clean house, and your carpet is a part of that. Cleaning your home without cleaning your carpet is akin to wearing a brand new suit while wearing dirty or old shoes; it just doesn’t work, does it?

A clean, well-kept home as a gift Many people spend a lot of money painting their homes during the Christmas season or just before the New Year. That improves the appearance of your home, but consider the health benefits of also cleaning your carpet. You want clean air that is free of dust, dirt, pollen, and any other bacteria that cannot be seen with the naked eye. This, of course, makes an excellent gift for family and friends.

I don’t know about you, but I like to impress my guests when I host an event at my house. A clean, organized home with a clean carpet can have an impact on them. It will be cozy, attractive, and comfortable for your guests.
