Unprivileged
Using an unprivileged container is the safest way to run applications in production environments. Unprivileged containers run in a user namespace, which masks the userid from the host.
These containers are based on a kernel feature called user namespaces. The kernel feature allows a UID mapped to a namespace to be different from the physical UID of the host machine. This allows code to run between namespaces without interactions.
Unprivileged containers are not for ordinary PC users. Using these containers is only safe when running applications that are important. These containers are not the best way to virtualize the entire machine.
In addition, unprivileged containers don’t need SELinux, and they don’t require AppArmor. Instead, they use a new kernel feature called user namespaces.
Nyalene
During the late 1990s, a New Jersey based corporation known as CMI, based out of North Brunswick, NJ, introduced the tip N measure container, or tip N for short. The container can range in size from eight ounces to twenty-two and a half gallons, dispensed in a variety of high density polyethylene and polypropylene.
