The proposed rule would require manufacturers to keep such documents at their principal place of business and within reasonable access hours and locations.
In order to comply with the new regulations, manufacturers must provide a test summary that documents that their battery or cell meets the requirements of the UN Manual of Tests and Criteria for Lithium Batteries. The current Regulations for Lithium Ion Battery Manufacturer will be effective January 1, 2019.
