One of the biggest charitable organizations in the world is Rotary International. Its declared aim is to “give service to others, promote honesty, and advance world understanding, kindness, and peace via fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders”. It is an organization that is neither political nor religious. Invitations to join are granted based on several social considerations. With 1.4 million members or Rotarians, there are over 46,000 member groups around the world.
