Contemporary art is vital because it is close to life and adds value to it by incorporating relevant aspects within the art. It took a long time for contemporary art to replace modern art, so people welcomed the transition and wanted more of it. Clifford Singer Is Transforming Contemporary Art
When discussing modern art, it is hard not to include Clifford Singer, who has worked in the sector for the past 45 years. Clifford, who was born in America and graduated from Alfred University, makes one-of-a-kind art pieces by combining mathematics and art. He has created work in a variety of mediums, including paintings, sculptures, prints, posters, and book covers, among others.
Singer was interested in art and teaching, so he relocated to the Broome Street apartment in New York City’s famed Soho art area, where he established both of his vocations for the next 28 years. During this time, he acquired an Artist Certificate from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, signed by Henry Geldzahler and then renewed by Bess Myerson. He is certified to teach both math and arts at the secondary level. He is no longer a teacher and spends his time curating unique and modern art items.
His artwork is inspired by geometry, which is then combined with modern art to create a one-of-a-kind creation. His whole career may be summarized as “Geometrical Clouds,” with the first pieces with that title appearing in the 1970s. His involvement in both vocations has given him a greater grasp of the worlds he strives to connect via his work. In his works, he employs color fields, converging, diverging, parallel, or approaching asymptotically converging lines, circles, ellipses, hyperbolas, and many more classical curves from both ancient and current mathematics.
