2022 Provides five Must Have Pieces Of Tech

The Christmas of 2022 is almost now here, and whilst the vast majority of people are probably already done with their lists and gifts for this year, but there are still some must have gadgets and cool tech that some may not be aware of, and if they are not, they should be on early 2023 shopping lists.

The year of 2022 saw some fantastic releases for tech lovers, and some of the best ones are always the gadgets that you absolutely do not need to have but fall into the absolutely must have bracket and worldwide online betting sites will undoubtedly be interested in seeing what the next big thing could be.

Smartphone and laptop technology is always advancing, but they serve a specific use, as do new advances in gaming consoles like the Nintendo Switch OLED – a virtual reality headset just like the announced Oculus Quest Pro.  Others, are more party pieces like the new household robot from iRobot that can break the ice with new friends at gatherings, or severely entertain existing friends and family when meeting up or enjoying your usual sports.

If the next generation of computing is more your bag, the announced release of the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold (Gen 2) was certainly a step up that stood out for many.  Having fixed some of the teething issues and growing pains they had with their first generation foldable laptop, the improvements in this version provide a polished, very usable product.  A tablet, a more traditional laptop with an attachable proper keyboard gives the more mobile generation the opportunity for a proper desktop PC on the go.

It may not be for everyone, but everyone can find a use for Twinkly Squares Known for smart lights, they have now moved to geometric smart lights and these can be used to set the mood, provide subtle lighting when watching the television in the dark or even as part art pieces, displaying your favourite animations and gifs.  And all app controlled and capable of being linked together.

Ring is now well established in the world of security cameras, but the Ring Alarm Pro release offers users even more.  The security hub doubles as a Wi-Fi 6 Eero router – extending your coverage – and for power or internet outages, it also offers backup battery power and internet service.

If drones are more your thing, DJI have been relentless with new designs but the DJI Avata is far more original, and is a quite successful attempt to bridge the gap between traditional drones and then the more action orientated functions of an FPV.  Allied to the DJI Goggle 2, it is an incredible experience.

One of the big advances recently has been in the development of portable air cleaners – everyone is far more aware of pollutants now and the expectation is that these products will explode in the next several years.  The TruSens Large Smart Wi-Fi Air Purifier is an attempt to steal the market early given its sleek design, and it comes with a 360 degree DuPont True HEPA filtration system to capture and destroy all types of air pollutants.  That covers allergens, airborne viruses, pet dander, smoke, odors and even certain VOC gases.  Covering up to 750 square feet, it could well be a must have.
